How is soft washing different from pressure washing?
Soft washing uses low pressure and a cleaning solution that treats algae, mildew and moss. Pressure washing uses high-pressure water to blast dirt off hard surfaces. We use soft washing on siding and roofs and pressure washing on concrete.
Soft wash vs pressure wash guideIs soft washing the same as power washing?
No. Power washing is pressure washing with heated water. Both are for hard surfaces. Soft washing is the low-pressure method for siding and roofs.
Does the cleaning solution harm plants?
We rinse plants and beds before and after we apply the solution, and we keep runoff away from gardens as we work.
Do I need to be home while you clean?
No, as long as we can reach the outside faucets and every side of the house. We will tell you what to expect before the visit.

Black streaks are algae that grow on asphalt shingles in shaded, damp spots. A soft wash removes them without high pressure.

We pre-treat oil stains and most get much lighter. Old, deep stains may not disappear completely, and we tell you that before we start.
